This is why both eyelids should be assessed as part of a complete meibomian gland evaluation.
The upper lid does not just add more information — it can change the clinical picture.
And once patients can see these findings for themselves, the conversation about prevention, treatment, eyelid hygiene, and adherence becomes much easier.
